Wolf Eyewear was founded in 2009 by Ian and Margaret Wolfenden. The family-run business supplies independent opticians across the UK, Europe, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand with uniquely bold, beautiful and colourful frames. Acting as a trusted B2B supplier, they have built a reputation for standout designs.
I started at Wolf Eyewear about 3 years ago. When I first joined the company, they had just begun the transition from paper to digital. Since joining, I have built and implemented many systems that help automate everything and moved us from one system to multiple systems that all integrate to save us time and limit any errors or problems.

Before moving from paper to digital, we used Sage. Everything was manual and wasted a lot of valuable time. As we were trying to use Sage as our inventory system as well as our accounting system, it meant we could never really understand the issues we were facing with stock values, inventory, purchases and suppliers. Sage was good for the cash-in, cash-out side of things, but it was frustrating not being able to see the operational side.

We use Cin7 Core to manage our inventory, and it's linked to our ecommerce platform, Vix.com, which was built off our own website. Cin7 Core is also integrated with Shiptheory, so everything works together in one flow, meaning we don't need to worry about overselling or running out of stock.
For shipping, we use DX for the UK and Royal Mail for Ireland and Scotland, and Shiptheory manages all of that through one system rather than us having to go to lots of different carriers separately.

Before Shiptheory, the whole process was taking 3-4 minutes per parcel before even generating the label, just for the packaging stage alone. With us sending around 200-400 parcels a day, that time really added up.
Shiptheory has solved a big issue for us by streamlining the shipping process. It's great not having to go to loads of different carriers and instead managing everything through one system. Since using Shiptheory, it now takes about a minute, if not less, to pick, pack and ship a parcel.
It's also great that Shiptheory automatically sends back the tracking URL data, which goes straight back into our inventory system. So if a customer calls and complains about their package not being received, we don't need to go back to the portal - the URL is produced automatically, and we can forward it straight to the customer so everyone knows where the package is or where the issue is.

What problems has Cin7 Core solved for you?
We do this thing called consignments, where we give goods to a third-party customer to sell on our behalf. We have 234 consignment locations. In Sage, we couldn't maintain or manage all of them. Cin7 Core really helps us with this. Now we have separate locations for everything, so it's easy to track, manage and handle any issues that may arise. Everything is a lot more streamlined now.

I would tell them that if they want their shipping process to be an easy and smooth experience, go with Shiptheory. There's never been an issue - it's been about 6 months since I've had to contact the team about anything. Onboarding was really helpful, everyone explained really well how the system works and what's happening with the data. As they also integrate with Cin7 Core, that's great too, as they helped me with that as well. Implementation was amazing - it was so easy. The entire system is so smooth-running now; it's amazing. From stock to shipping.
