New Integration: Purolator Now Integrated With Shiptheory!

We are excited to welcome Purolator to Shiptheory’s network of carrier integrations. This new integration allows businesses to connect their Purolator account directly to Shiptheory, automating time-consuming parts of the shipping process. Orders can be received from connected sales channels, booked with Purolator, and supplied with the correct shipping labels without the need to enter the same information across multiple systems. For e-commerce retailers and other businesses shipping across Canada and internationally, this means less manual work, fewer errors, and faster order processing.

Connecting Purolator with Shiptheory removes the need to book individual shipments and prepare every shipping label manually.

Once an order is received through a connected sales channel, ERP, WMS or other business system, its delivery information is sent automatically to Shiptheory. The shipment can then be booked with Purolator and the correct label generated, helping warehouse teams process orders quickly and consistently.

Businesses can manage Purolator alongside their other carriers from their Shiptheory account or directly within the system they already use. This makes it easier to introduce a multi-carrier shipping strategy without creating additional manual work or requiring staff to switch between different carrier platforms.

Create Intelligent Shipping Rules

Shiptheory’s intelligent shipping rules give businesses greater control over how their Purolator shipments are managed.

Rules can automatically select the appropriate Purolator service using information from each order, including its destination, weight, value or product SKU. For example, a business could create separate rules for domestic and cross-border deliveries or assign a faster service to orders that need to arrive within a particular timeframe.

Once configured, Shiptheory applies these rules automatically whenever a matching order is received. This reduces the number of shipping decisions warehouse teams need to make while helping ensure every parcel is sent using the intended service.

Build a More Sustainable Shipping Strategy

Purolator aims to become Canada’s greenest courier and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. Its science-based targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42.7% by 2030, sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2030 and reducing selected Scope 3 emissions by 25% within the same period. By 2050, it plans to reduce its absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 90% compared with its 2020 baseline.

To support these targets, Purolator is investing in electric and alternative-fuel vehicles, renewable diesel, route optimisation and more energy-efficient facilities. In 2025, its fleet included more than 550 all-electric vehicles, including delivery trucks, e-bikes and low-speed vehicles, while renewable fuel replaced 27% of its total diesel use. Route optimisation also reduced travel by more than 3.5 million kilometres. Alongside lowering transport emissions, Purolator is procuring renewable electricity, exploring on-site renewable energy and working to divert non-hazardous waste from landfill through reuse and recycling.
