Fjuka has become a game-changer in the fishing bait industry, starting as a small venture and now expanding its reach globally. Founded by David Preston, the former owner and creator of Preston Innovations, Korum, Avid Carp, and Sonu Baits, the company began its journey around five years ago. Initially, Fjuka focused on direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales through its website and Amazon. Over time, the company broadened its horizons, placing a significant emphasis on trade and distributor customers in the UK and EU.

We used to spend 3 hours every morning just manually pairing up labels with picking lists. Shiptheory has completely automated this process and saved us so much time and money!
Fjuka was launched around five years ago by David Preston and initially focused on selling directly to consumers via our website and Amazon. Over the years, we expanded our platforms and customer base, focusing significantly on trade and distributor customers in the UK and EU.
Due to our diverse customer types, we ship anything from a single 30g bag of hookbaits to multiple pallet consignments with thousands of individual items.
As we've scaled we've had to ensure that the technology we are using supports the intricacies of our business and keeps us agile in the market.
We used to rely heavily on spreadsheets, which complicated things and wasted a lot of time. We were introduced to Cin7 to help handle our inventory and order processing. This solved our first problem. Working alongside Bluehub to implement Cin7 helped optimise many areas of our business and got us to the level of efficiency we are at today.
On top of this, our shipping process was far from streamlined. We faced significant challenges with manualling pairing labels with picking lists, which led to a lot of errors and time-consuming tasks, especially after major product launches or weekends.
Bluehub also helped us implement Shiptheory and introduced us to the Integrated Label Feature which meant our picking list automatically printed with our label without us having to do anything, it's been a fantastic tool for us!
Our orders come through Shopify, Amazon and eBay, these come into Cin7 and then Shiptheory seamlessly integrates with our carriers, including Royal Mail, APC, and UPS for international shipments. All of our international product data is stored in Cin7 which is then electronically sent to UPS via the Shiptheory integrations.
In the past 18 months, Fjuka's product range has grown from 40 individual products to approximately 150, with many more in development.
Overall, the automation and integrations have been flawless, and any issues are quickly resolved by Shiptheory's support team.
Bluehub recommended Shiptheory as their shipping solution of choice. They knew that the pairing and tearing of labels with picking lists was a major pain point for us and we needed an automated solution to reduce errors and save time.
After discussing our needs directly with the Shiptheory team, they assured us of a solution, and delivered beyond our expectations. Josh, our account manager, gave us great onboarding support and continuous help with anything we needed.
Cin7, Bluehub, and Shiptheory have been seamless integration partners, with their systems sending and returning all the relevant information we need to be able to ship internationally, manage inventory and sales orders.
Absolutely. Shiptheory has been instrumental in streamlining our shipping process, reducing errors, and saving time.
As we continue to grow, we’re confident that Shiptheory will grow with us, addressing any challenges we face along the way. We feel supported by the fact that Bluehub, Cin7, and Shiptheory work so well as partners with communication lines beyond our own.
