The team have just about recovered from eCommerce Expo…and what a few days it was! On the 28th and 29th September, our team descended on the ExCel in London to rub shoulders with the biggest and best of eCommerce in the UK.
We had the privilege to meet dozens of retailers, partners, customers and eCommerce enthusiasts over the course of the expo, but of course, not everyone had the privilege to attend.
That's why we've compiled everything that went down at the Shiptheory stand over the course of the expo here, so no matter where you were during the eCommerce Expo, you can stay in the loop with everything we got up to!
Special Guests
We had the pleasure of hosting some of our valued partners over the course of the expo. Sorry if you've seen us shouting about them a lot - but we just can't contain how happy we are to have them on board!
2pm, Wednesday 28th September: Amazon Shipping
Our first guest of the weekend was Amazon Shipping! Not only did the Amazon Shipping team take over the stand to talk about how Amazon can benefit eCommerce retailers as a carrier AND a marketplace, they also sponsored free drinks for the thirsty expo-goers!
Here's a few pictures of the crowd for Happy Hour with Amazon Shipping and Shiptheory - and the drinks that attendees were treated to when they stopped by to see us. We're excited to say that we have a few more collaborations with Amazon Shipping in the pipeline - you can check out how we're working with Amazon Shipping on the Shiptheory website.
4pm, Wednesday 28th September: ShipperHQ
Later on the same day, we welcomed ShipperHQ to the Shiptheory stand, represented by Joshua Stewart. In this guest spot, we chatted to retailers about how ShipperHQ can pair with Shiptheory to offer live rates, forming the ultimate team to manage all aspects of your shipping.
2pm, Thursday 29th September: what3words
Our final guest spot went to what3words - we even advertised the w3w location of the closest entrance at the ExCel to our stand - ///nature.quick.cats.
Jennifer Christie, Will Irvine and Joshua Hughes were the representatives of the fantastic what3words team who came to speak to retailers about how w3w's unique solution can alleviate last mile delivery issues.
Prizes and Games
Across the course of the expo, our main attraction - other than the chance to learn about how we can save you time and money with your shipping - was the Shiptheory stacker, and the great products available from some valued Shiptheory customers.
We compiled this thread on Twitter to give a full breakdown of the wonderful brands we exhibited over the expo, but here's a brief overview:
Minirig: High-quality speakers that can easily be linked together - manufactured in Bristol
Wiper and True: Sustainably-focused craft beer brewed in the heart of Bristol
Jimmy's Iced Coffee: Refreshing iced coffee - sustainable and chilled to perfection
Brixton Brewery: Beers inspired by the electric community of Brixton
Coaltown Coffee: Proudly Welsh - and the first bCorp certified coffee brand in the UK
Congratulations to all prize winners over the expo, and for those who missed out, we hope you stopped by for some closing show drinks as Thursday came to a close!
