Don't Miss the Free Shipping Boat

Shipping is often only looked at from a financial point of view and we think that's a mistake. If you are selling online, shipping will be a big part of your business. Offer great shipping and then leverage that when marketing your brand.

Free shipping is a perfect example. Without doubt, it is a great marketing plus. This is shown by a study done by Accent that found 88% of customers are swayed by the offer of free shipping. But where does this leave you if you do not offer free shipping to your customers?

It is possible your margins just can't carry the additional cost of offering free shipping but first, explore all the options. You may find that customers are happy waiting longer for the their order to arrive if it means they save on the delivery costs. Or perhaps implementing a minimum order quantity requirement can make free shipping a possibility for your business.

In a recent article I wrote for our partners over at Brightpearl I've laid out some last minute shipping tips for December with a focus on providing free shipping to your customers.
