February was another busy month at Shiptheory's headquarters. We have added a new carrier integration: Pro Carrier, we now support FedEx's new International Connect Plus service and introduced plenty of new features and updates to our services.

Pro Carrier Integration

Established in 2019 and located in Laindon Essex, Pro Carrier is the new cross border e-commerce delivery arm of DG International. DG International's successful background in managing freight has been vital in helping Pro Carrier take an entirely new approach to support e-commerce retailers in their cross-border delivery and develop its end-to-end delivery channels.

In offering a range of global delivery options, supported by a choice of final mile delivery partners and backed up by smart and intuitive IT solutions, Pro Carrier has taken a fresh look at how they can support e-commerce retailers to achieve cross border growth simply and effectively.

If you want the brightest approach to cross border delivery with all the flexibility your customers demand and streamline your e-commerce fulfilment all at the same time, then Shiptheory's integration with Pro Carrier is the perfect solution!

Fulfil orders on your website, e-commerce channels, or online marketplaces such as Brightpearl, Magento, Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Amazon, etc., as you would normally do and let Shiptheory's intelligent shipping rules engine take care of the shipping.

FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) and New Features

Shiptheory now fully supports FedEx's new service International Connect Plus.

FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) is a contractual international, day-definite e-commerce delivery service that balances speed with attractive prices to meet your global customers' needs and delivers to over 220 countries and territories.

FedEx International Connect Plus is best for low-value, lower-weight B2C shipments. To use this new FedEx service, you must be enrolled with Electronic Trade Documents (ETD). Also, FICP only supports DDP (Delivery Duties Paid) shipments.

On top of the new FICP service, customers using FedEx can now set a third-party account that will pay for shipping, duties, and taxes. Using this new feature is as simple as possible: simply enter the third-party account number into Shiptheory, and everything will be automatically charged to that account.

Finally, suppose you require more flexibility when creating your FedEx shipments within Shiptheory and specify each shipment's exact dimensions. In that case, you can now use the new Package Sizes feature in Shiptheory to set up as many custom package sizes as you need. TNT customers can also use the new Parcel Sizes feature.

Other additions of note that we implemented in the last month:

Download and Save Brightpearl Bundled Products
We now support Brightpearl bundles. You can enable this functionality in the advanced settings.

Add Shipping Price to Rules
You can now use shipping cost as a condition in your shipping rules and allow a specific shipping cost to be set for any shipments that match the rule.

Magento 2: Pull Product Cost Value for Products with Zero Value
If a product lacks value, we will try to pull that value down from the product's raw cost rather than the price that the customer paid.

CSV Template: Include the Carrier/Service
When creating a CSV template to export shipments, you can now include the carrier/service the order was sent with.

CSV Template: Add Field for Shipment Status
When creating a CSV template to export shipments, you can now include the shipment status (complete, ignored, failed).

Add Support for the eBay Global Shipping Program
When orders fall under the eBay GSP, we now automatically add in their local GSP centre address instead of the customer's address.

API: Specify Sender EORI And VAT Numbers in Request
You can now specify your sender's EORI/VAT number via the Shiptheory API.

If you have any queries regarding the above integrations and updates, please do not hesitate to reach out to support. We are more than happy to give you a hand to get these up-and-running.
