Lily Charmed is an online jewellery company specialising in charm jewellery. The focus is on telling stories through jewellery.
Previously with all the platforms we sell on, we had to have a unique username and password, and login to each platform individually. Each platform had its own system of printing invoices or picking slips. We would then have to go into the portal to print labels off. We’d then match them up, pair them, so there was a lot of margin for error!
Now we use Shiptheory. We log into Shiptheory, and through the different shipping rules we have, it’s already applied postage. So we can just have a scan through and tick approve. And then once we’ve done that, that’s it, it spits the labels out!
Before there would be one member of staff designated to sit there and pair up invoices, and shipping labels, which is such a waste of time! Whereas now, that’s totally eradicated. We can just print them off, pick it, pack it, and it’s on the way to the customer.
We had somebody from Shiptheory with us throughout the whole onboarding process. For our company, we are not necessarily the most straightforward, we have a silver and gold of each product, we have very different variants, we’ve got customisable products; it wouldn’t have worked without the help from Shiptheory, being there every step of the way.
They have multiple ways you can contact them, and you’ll always hear back from someone.
The thing I like most about Shiptheory is how it makes everything easy. The process is much more streamlined, much less margin for error.
We use FedEx predominantly for our international shipments, whether that’s to Europe, or to America, and Canada. FedEx are actually based just up the road from us, which is really helpful. We have an Account Manager who’s helped us throughout.
The way Shiptheory and FedEx integrate works really well. For international shipments we’re able to setup shipping rules to make sure that shipments are going via FedEx without any hiccups. At customs, shipping has got a whole lot easier. It wasn’t until we started using these services that we were able to start shipping to Canada. Canada has its own rules and regulations.
Being able to setup the rules on the backend in Shiptheory, chooses which FedEx services to select for international shipments.
It makes things much easier and it’s really reassuring.
If you're looking to onboard, I would not hesitate in telling you to do so!
When I look back now, it seems mad that we ever did any other process. There was so much margin for error! Whereas we don’t have any of that now. I would definitely recommend people to use Shiptheory.
